Recent commissions have included:

- service reviews to inform commissioning strategies
- user consultation - to incorporate family views in planning
- assessment models - to develop and embed new approaches: the Common Assessment Framework (CAF), Integrated Working (IW), and Information Sharing (IS)
- research overviews - to provide tips for a range of audiences
- work to improve responses to the health, mental health and well-being needs of children and young people in contact with the youth justice system
